It's the fact that they're doing it without notification that is troubling. Most forums require you to supply a real name for registration purposes, but publicizing personal information without warning and by default is not something most reputable sites do. I am sure it is simply an oversight in the site design, and hopefully they will correct it so that people will be able to make this decision for themselves. Although, as I mentioned, you can go back and edit the name field - but for that you need to know the issue is there, hence my post.
