It's meant to be more of a popular (rather than academic) history of the entire dynasty and he certainly has a point of view. I've only just begun it but I'll post what I thought when I'm finished.
I didn't notice it being especially slammed at Amazon; have I missed something? At any rate, it'll be interesting to see.
