There is also a rumor going around that the kindle is coming out/working on a textbook version of the current kindle (it will be a little larger than the current kindle in order to support textbooks), but this will also be helpful for students (I'm not sure if it will support what you need one for because it is just a rumor at the moment and can't find specs).
