A couple of root-using apps tempting me to re-root are Titanium Backup and Button Savior. It would have been nice when resetting for the 2.1 upgrade to be able to migrate my app data, but in reality I was pretty careless with the update and probably would have lost any such backup anyway. Stock's haphazard back button behavior and reliance on the physical home button is fading into the background now, too, so I don't know whether I'll make the effort to burn a CWM card for rooting and/or sideloading.
At some point I'll probably get experimental again and mess around w/ CM10/10.1, but for now the better core performance in stock is trumping the better design and compatibility of the CyanogenMod ROMs.
