I have never had a problem doing this in Calibre and then importing the books to my Kindle and having the titles show up the correct way, until yesterday. Yesterday half of titles I altered didn't show up right on my Kindle after I sent them over and I did everything the way I normally do.
I usually click on a book in my Calibre library, click on edit metadata and change what I need to that way. I'm using 0.9.28 today and the former update yesterday and this happens with both. I'm running Widows Vista. Any thoughts?
I had the same problem in the past. Someone recommended that I first "Save to Disk" and then manually transferring that book to Kindle rather than having Calibre do it. It worked for me. Don't know why. This was for an earlier version of Kindle, but it may still apply.
