Agreed that thread is the easiest way. Making a bootable CWM card seems to be a hurdle for a lot of people, but it's at most a 3-step process that gives you the ability to turn on Unknown Sources or go full root with little to no learning curve. It also provides a great backup strategy, depending on how much you value your tablet configuration.
