Specs:
85mm(3.3") x 50mm(2.0") x 6.0mm(0.2") (same size as yours, but 2mm thicker).

I just did the upgrade to 3600mah and the unit is now charging. I did boot it up already and everything seems to be working fine. I'll be curious to see how much better battery life I get.

In regards to the old batteries, my measurements say they are about 6mm to 7mm thick, but remember that the height and width of the 2800 mah batteries is much greater than the original batteries so you might not leave any room for expansion with these larger ones. If you eliminated the screw pillars on the bottom edges you could give yourself some sideways expansion, but you'll sacrifice a little rigidity. Good luck.
