Tend is a harsh word. # years of almost daily use of Calibre DB and 1 corruption (I was mixing OS access to the same DB when I tripped ).

1)NAS is not approved, some get away with it, others don't.
2)Multiple OS is not recommended (this usually results in filename errors, nor corruption (unreadable) )
3)Simultaneous Calibre access from multiple PC's
