There's often left over folders to be cleaned up from the books and thumbnails if you delete books directly off the reader, so I'm in there doing that cleanup. And when I'm correcting books as I read them, I usually just copy the newest edited book directly to the reader, keeping the name identical. That never messes up the Calibre database on either the device or in the Calibre library on my PC. And I'm just nosy and need to see how things work and directory structure!

No, the only Sonys I have are PRS-350s. It sounds like this is something for only the x50 lines of Sonys, and it doesn't happen on the T1/T2 then? Which is why I thought it might be something changeable in future updates, but I'm fine with it as is if it needs to be there as Kovid said. I just wanted to be sure I didn't screw up some setting for the transfer to the 350s.
