What OS (and release), what did you do to configure Calibre (content/wireless) server, <=Assume you are trying some sort of Wireless since you mentioned Calibre companion (does the Fire run Android?)
And did you send a MOBI version of News. I know Kindles do Mobi . The mail may have failed simply because there was not a Kindle type file
