The glo is marginally rougher, true. The Paperwhite marginally smoother. Compared to the PRS-T1, that is. Marginally, IMHO: it is not like one has nails on it and the others feels velvet.

I daresay that I didn't find the thing very disturbing, honestly. Anyway, after a couple of months of use the Glo feels absolutely neutral (I mean it, it is not a mistype of 'natural').

As a side note, I don't thing cleaning it solves anything. Personally, I cleaned it only once to get rid of the 'brighter pixels': in my case it was some kind of 'oily stain' which made the thing look brighter, and I used a normal rag and the liquid to clean eyeglasses.
