I've been using Calibre to manage the ebooks on my laptop and to do the first pass at conversions to epub format. I don't use Calibre to manage the ebooks on my Kobo. Just a personal preference to use Sigil to edit the ebooks for a more or less standardized look and manually copy them over. I found that Calibre was not able to do some of the modifications I wanted and so I ended up using Sigil to modify the ebooks after running them through Calibre.
