B&N has apparently managed to reboot their DRM servers (when I originally posted, the servers for checking your account info were also offline, as I found when I tried to check that my CC info was current; those came up early, but the DRM servers stayed down).
I am pretty sure that was their issue, as the error msg from the tablet specifically referred to the inability to issue the license for the book.
Anyway ... now working, so download away.
