Two words: battery life. I'm not sure how many page turns the Aura HD is good for but I reckon it'd still have longer battery life than any of the tablets I currently use for comic reading. I mostly read black & white comics (e.g. Japanese manga) so lack of a color display isn't an issue. I've already given up on being able to read comics on an e-ink display so I'm really glad that the Aura HD was released. Bonus, it's readable even under bright sunlight.
I was actually looking to purchase the Glo a while back but it's hard to find it for sale in the US (that was before Kobo started offering it on their website). Even if I had gotten one, I know I definitely would have still bought the Aura HD.
