m92 standby screen image with transparencies

hi,

thanks to the otfm file manager, i was able to successfully add custom standby screen images of my own design (all in .png format). but i found a problem where if i had transparent areas in my image (i basically have one image where the background is entirely transparent, with a logo in the center), anomolies would show up when used as the standby screen image. curiously, when viewing the image as a file, the anomolies does not show up.

i also found this anomoly when i used it on the sony prs-950. does anyone know why this happens?

by the way, i solved it by filling in the transparent background with a very light grey. i'm just curious as to why it happens.

thanks,
hue.
