Thanks for the debricking suggestions, but my problem is not so severe that I want to go to that length to solve it. TTS works as long as I don't pause it; I have to turn it off completely if I want it to stop. And the process doesn't sound foolproof. Not to mention that having to hold the buttons down for a long time is going to really hurt my hands. As far as later updates, I think I'll quit while I'm ahead. Especially since I'm not really interested in using the Wi-Fi, and I can just download books on my computer.
