Oh gargoyles are cute! Seriously, the craftsmanship required to sculpt those creatures from a block of stone is amazing. Stonemasonry is just fascinating. When I visited Salisbury Cathedral a few years ago, I stood and marveled at the statues, wondering if any of them had to be started from scratch as a result of a misjudged tap on a chisel.
