OMG, this is awful. The elibrary went to useless overnight, IMO, the interface is so much clunkier than it was for someone who only wants to check new acquisitions and has no interest in lists or social interaction. Once my current holds come up, I think I'm done.
Maybe the redesign is more intuitive than you give it credit: after clicking on your link the top of my screen was filled with "Books to help you cope".

Functional downgrades aside, at least Boston decided to go with a "clean" background... my local library (Fort Worth) decided to go with a background image of the state flower. It looks nice - as long as all the books you are looking at are blue.
