There are various plugins for browsers that should do what you want. A quick Google search showed Lucifox extension for Firefox as a possible source to do as you asked. I'm sure there are others. Depending on the url you put in you can get different interfaces from the content server, to use this extension you would have to access the /opds url.

You can ask here, but there is a procedure for requesting a new feature to calibre via the Bug tracking software.
