That was my thinking.
They could even trim out the bulk of Deathworld 1; just start with the casino and have Jason get kidnapped after passing the funds to the pyrrans...
Makes it a lot more accessible.
And if the movie succeeds, the first sequel could be Pyrrus (bigger budget)...
