A week ago, Friday, I was at the Doctors office waiting room waiting for my lady friend. It was the kind of situation that I bought a used Motorola Droid 1 for.

Was a fair deal
$36 total, including shipping and no tax, for the used Droid, a charger and a data cable which I had not used until yesterday, a week later.
Anyway at the doctors office, I had a WiFi connection from the local hospital where I was the 701th guest, and then ---->>>>> nothing.

No WiFi. No connection. No sign of a signal using several apps already loaded on the device.
I took the battery out, etc. , etc.

Finally yesterday, almost a week later, I had some time and for the first time "MASTER RESET THE DEVICE."

Well, now it is OK.

So for those of you with more experience with these kind of things, I have a question.

What happened?
How so you avoid this kind of problem?
