I tapped the desktop icon on the start screen and then tapped the Internet Explorer Icon to download the software I want and once again, each time I got the same message that Calibre, Acrobat, ComicRack, and Digital Editions will not work on this tablet.
I also re-read the Amazon description of the tablet I bought, and there is absolutely no mention of whether it is RT or x86. When I bought it, I thought that if it didn't mention RT, then it must be regular Windows 8 but maybe that's not the case.
So I had uploaded some of my epubs to the MagicScroll website from my desktop. So I went to MagicScroll on my tablet and when I tried to log in, it gave me a brand new password as if I had never been there before. I guess it recognizes that I'm accessing it from a different device, so it looks like I can't access the books I uploaded from my desktop on the tablet.
So I went through the free apps available on the tablet. I saw a version of Acrobat made especially for this and I saw a couple of other free ebook readers, so I tried to download them, but now it won't download anything because it says my internet connection is too slow. I don't understand that, because it wasn't too slow when it downloaded the standard apps when I first set it up.
This just gets more and more frustrating.
