I enabled Location Services earlier this morning. The mystery app is now listed in running Apps in GSam but is using ZERO energy. I still wonder why it was using so much energy right after the firmware upgrade. Maybe it was activated by the upgrade and never turned off. Now that it was first turned off, it runs without any energy drain until some other app taps into it.
