They are most definitely my thing, probably one of the reasons I like this one.

Normally I despise books where the story is told from a first-person perspective, probably because they are so rarely actually told. They are written, just from one single person's point of view, and never the most interesting person at that. This one, on the other hand, I'm only about 25% through and I can tell I'm going to very much like the character telling the story, probably because his own voice and not the author's, is the voice telling it.

Also, Ezra is cute.

So yeah, on the whole I agree with rating it high and will probably go do that when I'm finished with it. Unless the author utterly fouls up at some point.
