Re: Koland and Beautiful Disaster, yes, I agree, it seems to be one of those series that's a love/hate thing. I had it as a 1 star, but I see Blossom loved it. This is why I am so hesitant to recommend books, some we all seem to like, others not. I know for myself I'm very careful with my spending and I hate to have people waste their money on something I've recommended and they hate it. But that's the way it goes sometimes!
Ah don't worry about that. The buyer always should read the synopsis of the book and a sample before buying. We all have different taste in books but word of mouth is the best way to take a second look at something. You see BD hit me because I have a thing for a scarred hero. I don't like my heroes perfect. Travis broke my heart because I know what he came from being abused most of his life then finding Abby. I also thought his traits reminded me of some Shifter heroes I've read in the past. I thought it was brilliant to see those traits on a human for a change. I agree it's a love or hate series.

We all can't love the same books and I think we know it's a risk anytime we buy a book. Example I am reading The Windflower by Laura London. Everyone says this is the greatest romance in their reviews. I've been told many times you got to read this! A few month ago someone here offered to loan it to me. I declined because it's a very expensive book. Well I found a very ratty copy on eBay for $8 and I am so glad I didn't pay more than that. I got two more chapters to go and well I think it's just an okay story nothing special. I don't find the romance believable between the h/h. Stockholm Syndrome isn't even believable at this point. He was just too in the background for them to develop anything between them. The only reason I keep reading is because of Cat. He breaks my heart and to find his story was never written! Cat is the most unusual male character I've come across in a romance story. I fell in love with him. Devon can jump in the ocean. Merry is too good for him. I found the love scenes very awkwardly written. Only because of Cat will it get 3 stars from me.
