There's no confusion. I just don't see any advantage to the way you're doing it when you say Sigil is your default epub editor. What's the difference between launching Sigil with your special shortcut—adding your default.epub file as a parameter (and remembering to Save-as something new), and just clicking on the actual default.epub file (and remembering to Save-as something new)?

Not trying to be difficult, but they both involve clicking an icon and remembering to Save-as something else. What's done is done, of course, but you could have achieved the exact same effect by putting a shortcut to your default.epub file in the taskbar with zero property-wrangling.

But no biggie ... whatever works for you.
