I think there might be some confusion. I only use the shortcut in the taskbar to open the default.epub file when I am starting a new book. If I am opening one in progress then I just click on the actual file...sigil is my default editor...and it opens.
Changing the properties of a shortcut is so trivial it shouldn't be a big deal.
1) right click on shortcut, select properties.
2) add "{path}/default.epub" to end of command
3) hit ok
Done
I only do that once - when I initially install sigil...now I don't have to do anything else when I start a new book, and all those default files and settings and styles are exactly how I want them. I NEVER start sigil in a "blank" configuration so have no need for the standard sigil shortcut - I'm not sure what good the blank configuration does anyone??
