At the risk of sounding marmish I tend to avoid discussion around that subject entirely.
Even well intentioned dissemination of information like that tends to facilitate ne'r-do-wells rather than Joe Blow. And Joe Blow is who we help here.
But back on-topic. Did you dd off the rootfs and do a grep? I feel an "on device" search of that nature would result in a hang... but nothing to stop you poking around offline.
