RIP TUEBL??

I went to the TUEBL (AKA: The Ultimate Ebook Library) website today and got the following message. .

Quote:
In 24 hours TUEBL will be shutting down operations, indefinitely. After talking to different copyright holders we realize that websites which allow community added content are wrong, and will now take up the fight to end these websites. . . Websites should be forced to screen all content that gets uploaded to the site, and then try to find the owner of that content and make sure that it is alright with them (even though we already ask the person uploading to only upload content they have the rights to). . .
Hopefully, if book publishers are able to increase their profits by shutting down sites such as TUEBL this will ultimately drive prices of books/ebooks down. Then again, the timing of the TUEBL message may have something to do with it being April 1st.
