At least here in the US, the non sale prices tend to be a few cents cheaper at BoB (on non-agency books)... Something like $10.99 at Kobo and $10.19 at BoB... With a decent Kobo coupon, Kobo is much cheaper. BoB still won't award bonus dollars (or allow bonus dollars to be used) for the former agency books, but when they run a sale like the current 40% off, many of the former agency books are also discounted, so based on the $10.99 price above and assuming a former agency book, you have Kobo at $10.99 (with no chance of using a coupon) and BoB at $6.59 ($10.99 minus 40%). Plus, as I mentioned, BoB also has additional discounts for carts over $15 and for using Google Checkout. If you buy exclusively Penguin titles in the US, you won't see any benefit from third scenario.
