I have never heard of Easter being referred to as a season, although of course it is in reality a spring festival from pagan times, which the Christian church decided to make use of. In the same way, the midwinter festival had the birth of Jesus attached to it.

To me, seasonal refers to the seasons of the year rather than anything religious. Holiday derives from "holy day" and it could be argued that it therefore has more "religious" overtones to it than the word "season".
