We here in New Zealand seem to have inherited the beetroot and eggs on burgers that is common in Australia, so maybe it's more of a South Pacific thing.
Don't like Vegemite, prefer Marmite if I have to eat it (which isn't often). We've just been through a Marmite shortage because the single factory in the country that makes the stuff was damaged by the Christchurch earthquakes and they've only just completed their rebuild. They tried importing from Australia, South Africa and the UK but people didn't like the overseas varieties.
