If you're looking for a book that you can curl up with, I highly recommend Rosamunde Pilcher books. They're romantic, but not "romances" per se and they're set in the coastal villages of Cornwall, England. Very charming and full of descriptions of cozy cottages, delicious afternoon teas, and friendly neighbors. Of course, there's more to her stories than that, but I love the calming ambiance of her books! Best ones: The Shell Seekers and Coming Home.
