I dont have OSX. But you can try extracting CBR (It is RAR file) and run conversion on directory.

I tried running the conversion on the directory and get the following error message:
Error on file /Users/XXXXX/Downloads/comic.mobi:
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/Users/XXXXX/Downloads/comic.mobi'
KCC does generate a comic.epub file but not the mobi one.
