It was enjoyable enough for me to read more of his stuff, even though I usually don't care for the Horror genre. It was that, as you put it, "reveal" at the end that sold me. Mystery/Thriller is my main material as I love to try to figure out 'who done it?' "Pines" had me completely fooled.

I really enjoyed the Alex Delaware series... for about the first 10 books. Then it started getting a little too 'dark' for me.
