I partly agree with Tom Sharpe and Orlok, but for other reasons I think.
Being on the road a few months a year, I cannot and will not take physical books with me as they are too heavy. Since 5 years I put my reading on an ereader.
But I buy lots of physical books as well. This 'bad weather sunday' (snow again
) I'm happily sitting at my kitchen table with a cup of coffee and surrounded by books. I buy them secondhand or new; this month's:

I buy both kinds of books, for different reasons. I wouldn't like to have a travel guide on my ereader/iPad. I like exploring, browsing in books, looking at the pictures, going in the bookshops to see what's new. I collect ancient books as well.
I am a kind of omnivore in reading, so I don't mind bad formatting of ebooks...I just read on....and I don't mind bad light or such.
These days I feel that I have the best of both, especially since I won an ereader in the MR-wintercontest and yes Tom, I have an beautiful (Oberon)cover for it.
