My understanding is that you need to be wary of putting the library on a networked device, so its something I've ignored. Besides I don't have a real need for it. See this in the Calibre Manual -

I believe Kovid and other developers are working on a multi-user network version of Calibre. There are some Web based gadgets - they're in the Calibre Related Tools section - that's all I know about them.
