I have one book that drops chapter 1 when I do an epub-to-epub conversion.
It opens and reads OK in Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre Viewer, and Sigil both before and after the conversion. It just doesn't have chapter one in the converted epub. With Sigil I can see the html file before conversion, but it is missing after conversion.
After conversion, the table of contents shows a link to the chapter, but the link is broken.
As far as I know, this is the first of ~2200 books I have converted that has this problem.
Any suggestions as to what might be happening, or what I should do to fix this problem would be appreciated.
