Note: When I buy a box set I use the epub split plugin in Calibre to split them to individual books. It's really easy to do! If you buy a Kindle version you can still do this! If it's a KF8 book you just use Kindle unpack plugin to extract the epub. If it's a mobi book you just convert to epub then use the plugin to split into individual books. I do this all the time.
