Oh, good. I looked at WinRAR years back, but I have no need to create RAR archives, so I passed. Lots of things (including 7zip) can extract them.

No surprise. While Zip is a documented format in the public domain, there are a variety of different compression algorithms used to produce Zip archives, and it's possible to create relatively non-portable Zip files when trying to squeeze out that last bit of compression.

Perhaps the chap who created the LRF version will chime in and tell us what he used to make the archive.
