If you're using a Macbook, then see this for Home, End etc shortcuts http://apple.stackexchange.com/quest...pageup-in-os-x

When you add books you can get Calibre to merge duplicates - its in the Control Add preferences. See second image.

And there's also a very good Plug-in - Find Duplicates - that can be useful for resolving duplicates.

THANK YOU BetterRed!!!

I had no idea about the Find Duplicates plugin. I just installed it and will go through it.

As for merging, I've decided to go with this script... I basically look for files that have the same names (but different extension) and puts them in a temp folder (folder<randomnumber> etc) and then I import them into Calibre using that second option that assumes all of the files in a folder are the same book. This method caught about 30% of the files. Im hoping this Duplicate plugin will help with the rest.

Thanks again,

Melanie

Edit: yes, Home key (Fn-Left arrow on my keyboard) works fine as a workaround for that bug! TY.
