Just want to check something so I don't waste my gift card

Can I use the card multiple times aslong as the balance allows?

eg, the card is £10, so I buy one book for £4.99 can I use the card a second time to get another book for £4.99

sounds obvious you can and I assume this is correct, has anyone done this?

I also got a 20% discount from kobo due to my birthday, can I use this along side the card to buy one of the books (one that accepts discounts)
