Dr. Drib, I've read a bunch of your posts that let me know that you're well-versed in 1950's-era pulp/noir. I'm woefully under-educated in this! (I'm reasonably familiar with a wide range of authors that were still writing in the 1970's, and searched out early works of those I enjoyed; but a lot of authors from slightly earlier were just never "on my radar".) Is there any MR threads or other websites that might "school" me, and provide some good recommendations for reading? I've been poking around the Patricia Clark library this morning-- the problem is I don't know where to start!
