I posted a link to my brother's book in the Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum, disclaiming that it was my brother's, and notice that my post was removed. So my questions are:

1) Does posting about a friend or family member's book count as "self promotion"?

2) If a post of mine is removed by a moderator, am I supposed to be notified of it?

If my post was against the rules, I was unaware of it; I think it would be good if this was spelled-out a bit better.
