You are using ONLY the official download site ?
XP (using Firefox) has no problems

1) try the alternate source (link is on the download page near the button)

2) Being Careful: disable your internet security (better way would pre-approve, AKA Whitelist, the official download URL) for the download.

3)Use a wired internet connection (if you were wireless)
