My charger has arrived but it is the same as the wifes plug I previously told you about.
It has a USB port on the plug and the seperate cable is a USB to a round socket which has a yellow tip (what do the colours on the tip mean anyway?).
The inside of the round socket looks like this (sort of) -0- which looks to be a specialist socket specifically for the PSP (well it looks like others I have seen on the web) - are you sure it will fit the 505 (I will not get mine till Thursday).
