I'm currently in the process of reading a couple of Fictionwise novels I continue to buy.
Right now, I'm reading Predator or Prey? by Scott Harper. It's only "so-so" at the moment (I'm one-half through the book); but, there's something beyond this novel that attracts me -- it's hard to explain what attracts me to all these Multiformat novels I buy from their site, but I'll try:
I suppose I like the idea that I can read some very interesting stories and novels that are somewhat inexpensive and by relative newcomers. For me, there's something inherently exciting about reading books by relative unknowns. Or perhaps a better way of saying this is that it's exciting to read writers who are known within the ebook community, but unknown outside of the market of traditional paper publishing.
So, while the novel I'm reading is only "so-so," I'm excited about reading it. I can almost see the author flexing himself, reaching out, and growing.
