Recently I have some 360(**) rtf files loaded on the device and when I press the "menu" button while reading the book it takes the reader 12 seconds to actually display the menu. Yes, I have just clocked it.

It looks like nobody at Sony thought that users might want to put more than a few dozen books on the reader without the use of the <heavy sarcasm> fantastic </heavy sarcasm> Sonny Connect software. Consequently the software specification that went to the contractor did not mention anything about the software being able to handle up to several thousand documents in a reasonable manner.
