There are some internal differences I've noticed as well between chargers. I saved a Samsung charger from an old cell phone that we no longer use because the end was a bit narrower and fits into my Verso rechargeable Arc Light easier. However it doesn't really charge either my Verso light or my readers. The lights on the devices glow indicating that they're charging, yet even after a full day when I disconnect them, they're still at the same level they were before and not charged at all.
I guess it's possible the charger itself is bad, but it's never left one location in the house so it's not been abused in any way, and the lights on the devices glow when connected too.
