Seriously, there's nothing to worry about. I have lots of microUSB devices - external disk drives, a camera, readers, and tablets, and probably a dozen microUSB cables. I use cables completely at random with any device, and they all work absolutely fine. It genuinely is a standard, and cables should all be interchangeable.
